Freshen Up The Paint

After all, many prospective buyers will be focusing a lot of their attention on those areas. You might also want to spend a little time painting the railing for your porch and the stairs.
Clean Up The Grass
If you have access to a weed whacker, or you know someone who does and who can help you out, you will want to make sure that you are cutting down all of the weeds that you can see. Pay special attention around the foundation of your home and you garage, along the edges of your driveway, pathways, and along the edge of your yard where it meets the road. By keeping everything nicely trimmed with the weed whacker, along with the once or twice weekly cutting with the lawn mower, you will have a yard that is much more presentable for potential buyers. If you have a little bit of spare cash, you might want to think about grabbing a few bags of new mulch that you can spread along the flower beds, especially right in front of the house, as that is where the eyes of the potential buyers will be drawn.
Once you do hire a real estate agent, you might want to think about asking him or her what they think about the exterior of your home and what they might suggest to make it have more curb appeal.
